GoldenGate Makes Software Updates Easy For Oracle

By Cedric Fairchild

If you are an Oracle GoldenGate client, there is some good information for you. The latest release of this software has been modified in such a way that it can be used with other Oracle software, like its database for instance. This opens up a whole new landscape in terms of the methods GoldenGate can be used and how its performance and other features can be improved .

Publication 2 of the 11g edition of Oracle GoldenGate is now accessible and it has been modified to embrace all the possibilities that can come with corresponding software synthesis. One of the most basic improvements is that you do not have to pass through the external logs to access information.

You can now easily access information from the database, which will not only save time and heighten efficiency, but will also permit you to update data at the same time. Administrators also can benefit from a larger scale of control over GoldenGate. It can now be integrated under the Oracle Enterprise Manager platform and the admin can apply Enterprise Manager to control the GoldenGate along with the other related applications.

Vice president of Oracle development, Brad Adelberg, said that this was a win-win situation for all oracle users as this provides a single direct remedy for most of their specifications. He also emphasized how this will diminish the clients' expenditure linked to maintain different software as this will reduce the overheads totally. If you are enrolled in Oracle instruction programs, make sure you have this edit covered as well.

The GoldenGate software has the functionality to replicate the contents from a relative database to any other database (read SQL DB). It is also built in line with the new change data capture (CDC) process, which will help the administrators to make data updates in multiple similar databases.
